The opening show of the ‘Edison Awards 2012' organised by mytamilmovie.com raised a lot of noise and screams from the audience. There was more noise when ‘ilaya thalapathi' actor Vijay made his entry during the performance of aalaap Raju. He won the best actor award for his performance in Velayudham. Sarah won the Best Child Actor award.for her performance in Deiva Thirumagal. She tried to mimic actor Vikram.
